Mediterranean Vernacular Architecture
I've long had a love of this kind of Mediterranean architecture - especially in its purest, vernacular form(s). The books below (combined with the relevant titles by Norman F. Carver, Jr.) are my favorite titles on the subject. Mediterranean vernacular architecture is not as readily appropriate or adaptable for most of the Pacific Northwest as say, Japanese architecture is. However, if you combine those two, seemingly isolated styles, you can kinda sorta call it "Tuscan" and just about get away with it!
