This past weekend I had the opportunity to participate in a photography workshop with astro-photographer Brad Goldpaint. This was a two-part introductory workshop that Brad developed around his own workflow. The first part was a evening/night location shoot. The second part happened the following day when we reconvened in a classroom setting to learn the finer points of digitally processing these kinds of images.
As you can see, the cloudless, boring sunset gave way to a perfectly clear, starry sky with the Milky Way rising over Mt. Bachelor. Overall, it was a very productive and rewarding experience that I can't recommend more highly. Please check out Brad's website for future workshops.
